xJohnxDavidxMercerx 20240113_jcd_sx1_0040 It’s safe to say that after the Presidential debate that occurred on 27th June between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the American public is seriously reconsidering their options. With neither side ending up making coherent arguments, the football fans are suggesting a President of their own and it’s none other than the household name of Nick Saban. Nick Saban, the former head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide, is more notably known as one of the most successful coaches in the history of college sports. With over 7 national titles to his name, we have yet to see a coach that has dominated the sport of college football as much as him, and yet, does that seem enough of a qualification to be the head coach of the entire United States of America? Well, after hearing both Trump and Biden’s heated debate over who plays the better golf, it seems like there’s not a lot that the people are asking for. Thus, Saban’s name is being thrown in the ring, in the hopes of him applying his magic touch of football over the rotors of the country. ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad On 28th June, Jake Crain, a famous sports personality, took to X to express a thought-provoking prediction about the former HC of Alabama taking over the reins of the USA someday. His tweet read, “Nick Saban could be the President” The tweet has been viewed over 30,000 times since and is drawing reactions from football fans nationwide. Preach my brotha — Nick Perkins (@NickyPerkss) June 28, 2024 Expand Tweet One such reaction that stood out was when a user named “Nick Perkins,” wrote, “Preach my brotha” which implied that this would be a dream for football fans as well as the common masses if the day ever came to pass. But that’s not all. The sour taste of the presidential debate in everyone’s mouths led to several more reactions that couldn’t agree more with Crain’s words, some of which are compiled below. After a disappointing conclusion to one of the nation’s most anticipated face-offs, the American audience is agitated by the bumpy debate that took place yesterday. With no actual results or answers to the questions that were posed in front of the two POTUS’, the candidacy of Nick Saban is being hailed by the fans direly, since he could very well be someone who turns the tide around for the country. I’d vote for him!! Roll Tide!! — DeeL (@LoiblDeeanna) June 28, 2024 Expand Tweet The user named @wLoiblDeeanna expressed her fascination with Nick Saban and wrote, “I’d vote for him!! Roll Tide!!,” which just goes to show that Saban’s impact on the sport stretches beyond the gridiron and into the world of politics as well. Even I would vote for Saban! @nashwill23 — Dwaine (@NJStud3) June 28, 2024 Expand Tweet Next, ‘Dwaine’ added on to the crowd of supporters who would be willing to choose Saban as the next president and said, “Even I would vote for Saban!@nashwill23″ I’m sold — Patch from the Chat (@PatchAdams1223) June 28, 2024 Expand Tweet ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad Thirdly, a user named @PatchAdams1223 didn’t need too much convincing on the possibility of Saban being on the list of American presidents and wrote, “I’m sold” As an Auburn fan I would vote for him over these two — Bless Their Hearts🦚 (@CooperMurphy13) June 28, 2024 Expand Tweet ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad Lastly, this user called @CooperMurphy13 who is a fan of the Auburn Tigers, longtime rivals of the Alabama Crimson Tide, would also choose Saban as the president over Trump and Biden, which just goes to show how desperate the people of America are at this point. His comment read, “As an Auburn fan I would vote for him over these two” Nick Saban has been considered to have a career in politics, seeing as how he was an integral part of the roundtable discussion in Washington that was hosted by Senator Ted Cruz. But with no official confirmations or a visible interest in being one of the suits, Nick Saban doesn’t seem likely to step into the ring anytime soon.
